House of meandering shape by Think Architecture, with freely arranged volumes

This park-like plot comprises a collection of single-story, freely arranged spaces. The individual structures are held together by a continuous roof edge, which creates a transition from the undulating roof landscape. The volumes take their inspiration and height from the natural contours of the area and integrate themselves harmoniously into the verdant environment. This basic meandering shape disguises the actual size of the house, and its projections and recesses allow it to merge with the landscape of the surrounding parkland.

스위스의 어느 숲속, 공간 구성이 자유로운 단층집이 들어섰다. 산등성이 대지에 파도처럼 이어진 한 지붕 아래, 다양한 볼륨들이 불규칙하게 엮여 있다. 전체적으로 들쭉날쑥한 모양을 하고 있어 집의 크기를 가늠하기 어렵다.
인근 산맥에서 영감을 얻은 이 집은 초록빛 가득한 주변 자연환경에 조화롭게 어우러진다.

All rooms have direct garden access and, depending on their aspect, attractive views of the park towards the mountain panorama or down towards the Lake Zurich basin. At the center of the floor plan lies an atrium that provides attractive lighting and brings living nature into the heart of the house. The basement is completely below-ground and is only visible near the existing supporting wall.

The building is clad with light gray natural stone facing strips. The horizontal layering of the natural stone facing accentuates the natural appearance of the structures emerging from the ground. The upper edge of the single-story façade is finished with a continuous band of concrete facing, delineating the façade from the roof above it. Large wood and metal windows in oiled oak and anodized metal augment the architectural appearance. Occasional skylights enhance the roof landscape, generating zenithal light and an additional line of sight to the surrounding treetops.

모든 방은 정원과 바로 이어지며, 위치가 좋은 일부 방에서는 길게 펼쳐지는 산세와 취리히 호수가 바라다보이는 아름다운 경치를 즐길 수 있다. 건축가는 건물 중심에 아트리움을 배치해 채광이 좋고 활기 넘치는 자연이 가득한 주택이 되도록 했다. 지하 공간은 완전히 땅 밑에 묻혀 있어 내력벽 옆에서만 모습을 드러낸다.

외관은 밝은 회색의 길쭉한 천연 석재로 마감됐다. 수평으로 이어 붙여진 자연석은 땅에서 솟아나는 듯한 건물의 자연적 특성을 더욱 돋보이게 한다. 상단의 지붕 외관 가장자리는 길게 둘러싼 콘크리트로 처리되었다. 쉽게 낡거나 녹슬지 않도록 기름칠한 떡갈나무와 양극산화 처리된 금속으로 만들어진 커다란 창문들이 외관을 완성한다. 천장에 드문드문 배치된 채광창 사이로 햇빛이 쏟아지며, 건물 위로 드리워진 자연 풍경이 가득 보인다.
